Reach for the Stars!! And, I'LL BE THERE!!!
A little while back, I posted an article about "Starting Them Young and Starting Them Smart", or thereabouts.  And, Michael Jackson's demise has prompted me to think about all those young, "creative" talents that never got to see the day.  Well, some did, but never quite reached the heights that Michael had.  It's not that I'm a fan or anything remotely close to that, as famous as he might be.  But, I do like his songs and I for one feel that he is one helluva unique talent.  And, of course I'm glad he's left a legacy of great songs and even greater dance visuals to see us thru' our old age.  So, why am I mentioning him in my niche site, you ask!  Well, obviously, he's as "creative" as you can get.

"Creativity" is not always found in the mind, but in the heart and soul as well, and that's where we are touched when sheer magic is created by such talented individuals.

Anyway, back to this article.  As I mentioned earlier in my previous postings, I created this category "Creative Works" to include such an instance, ie "creativity" in Music.  And, Michael Jackson, when he was a kid, is a fine example of exactly that.  Which brings me to the subject of young talents.  I had recently blogged about 2 young singers whose angelic voices started them on the road to stardom many, many years ago.  They may have found fame in their careers, but only until recently did I discover them.  I've often confessed to being a "country bumpkin" on all my blogs.  So, do forgive my ignorance.  Well, my blog posting is on another website, where I rant under my alter-ego, AkitaWoof!!  Anyhow, I just feel that I am compelled to include it here in my niche site so that more people can share the feeling that I felt when I heard their voices.

So, without further ado, here's what I published on http://www.AkitaWoof.com.

Because of Michael Jackson's passing, I stumbled across 2 kids who rendered their versions of "Ben" many, many years ago when they were "oh so very young". Although their videoclips did not impress me as much as Michael's (obviously), they both had enough talent and singing prowess to continue in their careers in this chosen field. Firstly, check out Declan Galbraith. Declan who, you ask!! That's right, I've never heard of him, but he is quite well-known in some parts of the world. The first clip is "Ben", followed by "Tell Me Why" which just bowled me over. It's a really, really great song. He's all grown up now and his voice has changed. What a pity! Check it out - I bet you'll agree with me that his vocal skills then was just "out of this world".

First, we have "Ben"...

Next, we have "Tell Me Why"...

Now,
isn't that something else, or what!! He was so adorable when he was a kid. Pity they all have to grow up, eh? The next kid who's worth my mention is Billy Gilman. Billy who, you ask again!! Well, he's more well-known in the country circuit. Anyhow, here we go again, first with his rendition of "Ben", followed by "What's Forever For". I think he became famous for his hit song "One Voice" when he was very young, but I wasn't aware of it, or him then. And now, after listening to his other numbers which include "Oklahoma", he's finally impressed me. But, like Declan, he's all grown up now too. Sigh, what a pity! Somewhat, when they were kids, they have this heart-wrenching voice that just breaks your heart - like Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond used to do.

Anyway, here's "Ben" once more...

Billy Gilman - Ben

Followed by "What's Forever For"...

I hope you liked them - the sheer innocence and purity of their voices... it takes you back to those years gone by... such nostalgia... it makes me wanna cry... ah...
