Be "Creative" from the Heart, not the Mind alone!!  Now, what do I mean by that exactly?

It's good and fine to "think creatively", but when you put those thoughts down in words and actions, it should come from the heart and not from the mind alone.  What I'm saying is that any display of "creativity" should have "heart and soul", know what I mean?

Take those TV/Movie critics as an example.  Don't you sometimes feel that they're all "a dime in a dozen"?  They all seem to think alike.  The reviews that are generated do not seem to possess any soul.  It's like they have all those "creative" words to describe whatever it is that's being reviewed, but somewhat, the whole thing seems empty - devoid of any feelings.  I feel zilch, nothing, when I read them.

Do these so-called "professional" reviewers actually view the TV shows and Movies?  Or, do they just follow the opinions of the other reviewers - you know, take a short cut, just follow the majority or whatever's the popular opinion among the so-called pros and change the words here and there just to make it their own?

Don't these people know that they have a responsibility to their viewers?  I know they have their deadlines and all, but shouldn't they be taking their jobs a little more seriously?  We read what they write, we tend to believe what they write.  Then, how is it that they never get it right?

That's why I'm a little disheartened nowadays.  There have been so many "attacks" on some really good TV shows.  As a viewer and fair-minded person, I think the critics are being  ridiculous.  Whether the criticisms come
from syndicated critics or fans, I still feel the majority of us viewers still appreciate the great storylines, script, acting from such shows.

Take for example, "Grey's Anatomy" - I still find the show refreshing.  The lines uttered by the cast are still witty and smart.  Now and again, one or more of the regular stars in the show would irritate us, but that's part and parcel of a good show.

You'd probably read more of my TV/Movie rantings on my other blog/website at http://www.AkitaWoof.com.  But, I'm mentioning it here as an example of what's happening to all of us today.

Can't we be contented with what's being churned out on our TV channels?  Just compare what we have now and what we had yesterday.  Decades ago, the kind of scripts we get on the tele weren't as "creative" as nowadays.  The level has gone way, way up!  And, do we say "thank you"?  Nope, we ungrateful lot - we just complain and complain and complain!  Do we ever stop?  It's no wonder that many great TV shows have been axed.  Perhaps the studio moguls actually believed what they read?

Now, you'd be wondering as to why I am ranting on and on?  Well, I get a little annoyed everytime I read such comments, and the reason I'm mentioning it here is because this is a "Creative Thinking" niche site.

So, to all those writers who possess such "creative" skills, please remember to use them wisely.  Do not write for the sake of writing, but rather, write with a sense of sincerity and meaning.

It's not enough to BE CREATIVE - you should also BE RESPONSIBLE!!
