Man (or should I say "Woman"!!), am I mad as hell!! Just an hour ago, I was type-typing on my laptop, going on and on about the state of my mind and when I finished and hit the "Save" button, would you believe it - my electronic bugger froze on me. Well, not exactly "froze", but it had the same result... the website expired, or something to that effect. Whatever idiotic reasons it gave, it still spells out one thing, and that is, my blog post was completely wiped out!! All my "ramblings and rantings" just flew out the window.
Actually, it's really quite hilarious 'cos I was writing about my brain being in "overdrive", being "overtaxed" and such and that all the research and reading and writing on my niche site is making me go "stark raving mad" (or something to that effect). Perhaps, someone "up there" (you know, some "divine spirit") doesn't like what I wrote and so decided to oblete the whole thing, "meanderings" and all.
So, short of repeating what I wrote and getting it obliterated again (!!), I think I'll instead, give you the shorter version (ya right, you will be so lucky!!). Well, I'll certainly try... LOL!!
I actually wrote about being "natural" on my "Creative Thinking For Women.com" niche site. By "natural" I mean, just writing without using the so-called tactics taught by the many "experts" in the field, you know, the "internet gurus". Yes, they tell you the hundred and one ways to fool the Search Engines. But I find it would stifle my "brains" if I were to attempt to follow their "sure-fire" way to get high rankings.
All I can say is I write the way I think, and obviously also the way I speak, ie fast and to the point (well, maybe not so much that quickly to the point 'cos I tend to drag a little??). Anyway, I don't profess to be the "know-it-all authority" on the subject of "Creative Thinking". But I certainly can detect great works generated by really super-brained "creative thinkers" and when I congregate them on my niche site, I add a little of my so-called "2-cents worth" of "creative and critical" comments to their
"words of wisdom".
Yes, that's what I do - giving it a "creative" finishing touch, so to speak, doing it MY way, as always... not always "great", not always "right", but certainly always "original", 'cos no one thinks the way I do (I'm not being egoistic here, just being honest. Honestly!!).
Anyway, before I stray from the purpose of this post, let me list below the rankings my niche site "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com" received from both the top 2 Search Engines, Yahoo Vs Google. I'm not sure if my page rankings are good enough, but I'm certainly proud to say that I did it the "natural" way - c/o my "ramblings and rantings" and of 'cos, with a little help from my friends - those great writers and their websites - they certainly help to make my niche site an online website to be reckoned with.
And, in no time at all I will accomplish making it a "1-Stop Centre for Creative Thinking", as what I promised in my earlier posting when I stated what my mission was. And, hopefully, one fine day, I will be able to say "Mission Impossible: Accomplished" (man, how "corny" is that!!). LOL!!
Enough of my ramblings. Check out my rankings below (Yahoo Vs Google) - accomplished the "creatively" natural way:
creative thinking articles - 1 Vs 2
creative thinking blogs - 2 down to 3 Vs 10 up to 8
creative thinking techniques - 4 Vs >20 (I stop searching at page 20)
creative thinking websites - 5 up to 3 Vs 4 up to 2
creative thinking writers - 10 up to 6 Vs 6 up to 2
creative thinking - 11 Vs 6
This was reflected within a space of one week. Obviously, I hope to bring them all to page 1 and maintain them there, by introducing more "educational, enlightening and entertaining" contents to my niche site and making it a globally-renowned "cool, creative and classy" website where every "Tom, Dick and Harry" (do we still use these 3 names??) will flock to see... and tell their friends... hopefully. Wishful thinking on my part again. Well, as they say, if there's hope, there's a way... or something to that effect.
Doris Lim
Doris Lim, the owner of "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com", has only one thing in mind when she started this niche site, and that is to create awareness to the general public that you don't have to be a "rocket scientist" to have "creative thinking". She believes that no one should be thought of as being smarter or more creative just because one possesses a higher education. Of course, that helps a little. But, she believes that anyone can be taught to "think creatively". All one has to do is tap into that brain one has been born with and bring out the creative side. With so much knowledge and information available on the internet nowadays, it will take alot of effort, energy and time to select the best authors/writers, articles, tips and "how-to's" to come together in a creative process in this niche site and make it the "1-Stop Centre for Creative Thinking". And because Doris is a woman, this website will be dedicated to all "women", thus the name "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com" (Softly whispering... "men" are also welcome to visit).
A little bit of history about Doris. Having both an Asian and European background (Chinese and Portuguese), her thoughts are equally governed by both the East as well as the West. That accounts for her love of the English Language (she's being accused of having a British accent when she converses with Americans) and her obsession with Korean television serials (obviously, she has to make do with English subtitles). But, enough chit-chat.
Her credentials stem from her extensive years of experience working with "great minds" who "think creatively" and "act creatively". She has prepared speeches for politicians, consumer activists, assisted authors and researchers in the production of books and newsletters and also dabbled in the advertising and public relations sector.
Thus her quest now - to boldly go where no mind has gone before (no, we're not watching "Star Trek") and seek the BEST stuff out there in the "Cyber World" in order to share with her readers/subscribers, the various aspects of "Creative Thinking".
