Okay, okay, I know that "Self praise is no praise" and I'm not proclaiming that I'm a "creative" blogger in the sense that you might think.
But since this is a "creative thinking" niche, I'd like to assume that with all the research I conduct resulting in the opportunity to zero in on all the "creative" minds out there in the "cyber world", the exposure has somewhat resulted in the extraction of the "creative" potential embedded deep within my psyche.
In other words, I at least hope that any "creativity" I have inside my thick skull can emerge and do some good. My wish is that any untapped "creative" talent that I may possess will be unleashed to my site visitors - in the "entertainment" sense ie.
As much as I would like to educate, inform and create awareness to my faithful readers/subscribers, the most fulfilling feeling I would ever hope to experience is to know that I have "entertained" them well.
You see, I feel that life being as short as it is, needs this absolutely necessary factor. It's all fine and good to be well-informed, but to feel good and achieve a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment is a "must" (at least as far as I am concerned).
Having loads of money or being famous may or may not bring the kind of happiness one requires in one's life. But when one becomes "productive" through whatever means, one senses a feeling of "contentment".
It's not easy to express exactly what I think or feel, but this is as close as it gets to my feeling of "contentment and completeness" when I write/blog on my site/newsletter. And, if and when the day comes when my readers feel the same way when they read my posts, my goal would have been accomplished.
So, keep visiting my site, and continue reading, and if you do enjoy even a teensy-weensy bit of what I have to share with you, you would have made my day!!
My final wish is this: As my site is still in its "infancy", I'd like to once again request that you'll become my subscriber (by clicking on the subscription "icon" at the top of the Home Page). This way, you'll grow with me. By having my "readers" inside my group of "subscribers", you will be able to experience with me the "creative thinking" process as we plod on. The journey may be long, but I guarantee you, it will be enjoyable, because I know no other way, but to "entertain" myself and you, my readers, along the way...
It is imperative that we are embodied within the
"subscriber membership" process so that you will be the first to know of the happenings of my "creative thinking" niche. In real life, immediate families are always the first to know when incidents occur, right??
So, it's not enough that you're a "contributing writer", or that you have my site name "bookmarked". If you become a subscriber, you'll be the frontrunner to any news pertaining to my site on a "weekly" basis or on an "immediate" notification if there's an "emergency" (do I really foresee one??).
Regardless, do subscribe... it only takes a few seconds. And remember to "double opt-in" to make sure that you are added into my "growing family" of subscribers.
I noticed that I have quite a handful of "pending" subscribers. If you are one of them, it probably means that after you entered your name and email, received a "thank you" message, followed by an email requesting your confirmation, you failed to act on it. As such, you have remained "pending". So, because I value your intention to become a subscriber to my FREE Newsletter, I am once again alerting you of the procedure to be added to my family of "Creative Thinkers".
So, don't let me down. Go look for your email message and re-confirm, but if you can't find it, don't despair! Just click the subscriber "icon" again at the top of the Home Page, but this time, remember to confirm when you receive an email message requesting you to do so.
One last thing - my site "disappeared" a few hours back. I don't know the reason for it. It was showing a "broken link" message. After many attempts of trying to fix the problem (it could be my browser problem only and as such, you may not have encountered a similar problem), I gave up and decided to go for a drive to get some "chow" and clear my mind.
You see, sometimes I would just go on and on, trying to fix any "technical problems" I have online (being not so "computer savvy"), and hours would go by and still the problem is there. So, short of continuing doing that or sending an SOS to my software provider, I decided to take a break. Now, a couple of hours later, lo and behold, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! My "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com" site re-appeared. Miracles of Miracles!!
Anyway, for whatever reason it had for disappearing and re-appearing, the reason I'm mentioning it in my blog post is for you to know that if you encounter a similar problem in future, not to worry. Give it a few hours, or even a day, and then return. "I will be back", as what Arnold S of "The Terminator" might say. So...
Enough ramblings on this blog post... 'til later, Happy Reading, Blogging, Surfing, whatever...
Doris Lim
Doris Lim, the owner of "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com", has only one thing in mind when she started this niche site, and that is to create awareness to the general public that you don't have to be a "rocket scientist" to have "creative thinking". She believes that no one should be thought of as being smarter or more creative just because one possesses a higher education. Of course, that helps a little. But, she believes that anyone can be taught to "think creatively". All one has to do is tap into that brain one has been born with and bring out the creative side. With so much knowledge and information available on the internet nowadays, it will take alot of effort, energy and time to select the best authors/writers, articles, tips and "how-to's" to come together in a creative process in this niche site and make it the "1-Stop Centre for Creative Thinking". And because Doris is a woman, this website will be dedicated to all "women", thus the name "CreativeThinkingForWomen.com" (Softly whispering... "men" are also welcome to visit).
A little bit of history about Doris. Having both an Asian and European background (Chinese and Portuguese), her thoughts are equally governed by both the East as well as the West. That accounts for her love of the English Language (she's being accused of having a British accent when she converses with Americans) and her obsession with Korean television serials (obviously, she has to make do with English subtitles). But, enough chit-chat.
Her credentials stem from her extensive years of experience working with "great minds" who "think creatively" and "act creatively". She has prepared speeches for politicians, consumer activists, assisted authors and researchers in the production of books and newsletters and also dabbled in the advertising and public relations sector.
Thus her quest now - to boldly go where no mind has gone before (no, we're not watching "Star Trek") and seek the BEST stuff out there in the "Cyber World" in order to share with her readers/subscribers, the various aspects of "Creative Thinking".
